My Favorite Projects

A small showcase of the projects that hold a special place in my heart.

Autonomous Track-Following Vehicle

  • Implemented real-time C firmware on a microcontroller to self-navigate an unknown track using a 128-pixel line-scan camera.
  • Designed a center-of-mass steering algorithm with dynamic thresholding to limit MCU computation overhead.
  • Controlled DC & servo motors via timer-driven PWM, including differential wheel speed adjustment.
  • Achieved #1 system performance among peers through low-latency firmware tuning.

VHDL MIPS Pipelined Processor

  • Designed and wrote individual stages (fetch, decode, execute) for 32-bit MIPS instructions.
  • Merged stages to create functional IC and wrote testbenches to simulate correct chip design.
  • Performed RTL Analysis and Synthesis to generate RTL Schematic.
  • Performed FPGA bring-up by generating bitstreams and validating design on Basys3 FPGA.
MIPS Processor

Redundant Power Management Relay System

  • Built intuitive rPMS relay system to reduce CAN line battery drainage, decreasing error-rate by over 70%.
  • Designed an Arduino-powered PCB that outputs control signals to trigger operational and failover systems.
  • Wrote C++ program to control signal outputs based on tactile response from a control panel.
